Unlocking the Potential: Full-Spectrum CBD Explained

The entourage effect and why it matters.

Not all CBD oils are alike. CBD (or cannabidiol) is just one of hundreds of different cannabinoids found in the Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant. Full-spectrum extracts preserve all of them — trace THC included — for a more complete therapeutic effect.

Full Spectrum vs. CBD Isolate

Full-Spectrum CBD extracts retain a diverse range of cannabinoids and plant compounds, presenting an amber/brownish hue with an earthy, slightly sweet flavour. They contain all the naturally occurring cannabinoids in the hemp plant with 0.3% THC or less.

CBD Isolate contains only pure CBD, devoid of other cannabinoids. There is zero THC in any isolate-based product.

The Entourage Effect

A more important difference between full-spectrum CBD and isolates is the entourage effect. By leaving more of the natural plant compounds intact — traces of other cannabinoids and terpenes — you get a more effective overall impact from the CBD.

The entourage effect emphasizes the synergistic interaction between various cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds present in full-spectrum extracts. By preserving the natural composition of the hemp plant, full-spectrum CBD harnesses the collective power of these compounds, potentially enhancing the overall therapeutic impact.
